Meet The Team

Dr Tan(Tanveer) Terai is the principal dentist at our clinic. She has extensive experience as a clinician having worked in the private dental sector across several northern suburbs. She has deep roots in the community and is proud to serve the vibrant Northcote community.

Dr Tan has special interests in preventive and minimally invasive dentistry along with cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign. She is continually engaged in doing professional development courses in order to keep herself at the forefront of the latest dental innovations. She has a compassionate and gentle approach always treating patients like she would want her own family and friends to be treated.

Tan has an aim to challenge mediocrity in dentistry and aims to deliver excellent dental treatment outcomes for all her patients. She likes to keep the practice environment relaxed and friendly so that all patients including the anxious ones feel at ease.

In her spare time she loves to explore the culinary delights that Melbourne has to offer. She has 2 school going boys and 2 cats who keep her busy and entertained.

Dr Mel(Melvina) Tan completed her Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at the University of Melbourne. Upon graduating, she has worked in clinics across rural and metropolitan Victoria, honing a vast array of skill sets in dentistry.

Mel has a life-long commitment to ongoing education and has a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She is dedicated in providing a stress-free environment for her patients as she herself was once scared of the dentist! Her priority is to help patients achieve a healthy and confident smile because everyone deserves a second chance to smile.

Coming from a Chinese Malaysian background, Mel is fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay. In her spare time, she loves to bake and explore Melbourne’s fooderies with her friends. She also has two border collies that keeps her active in her downtime.
