Why Do Wisdom Teeth Cause Problems?
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to emerge. Unfortunately, many people do not have enough space in their mouths for these extra molars.
When wisdom teeth cannot grow properly, they may:
- Become trapped beneath the gums
- Grow sideways or at an angle
- Push against neighbouring teeth
- Cause crowding and alignment issues
- Create pockets where bacteria can collect
- Lead to repeated infections
Not everyone experiences symptoms immediately, which is why regular dental check-ups are important.
